Collaboration Model between Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. and Mercedes-Benz Group AG as well as Mercedes-Benz Group AG affiliated enterprises within the meaning of sec. 15 of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG).
To meet the legal requirements for risk management, Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. is commissioned to carry out the supplier evaluation. In the course of this evaluation, Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. generally researches information on the annual financial statements once a year. Based on this data, an evaluation of key figures is prepared as the basis for assessing the financial situation of the respective supplier. The assessment of financial stability functions as a preventive measure to provide information on the security of supply by our suppliers. The results of the then current financial assessments are also relevant for potential new awarding to our business partners.
Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. is authorized and commissioned by Mercedes-Benz Group AG to contact suppliers and evaluate their annual financial statement data. For the evaluation of the annual financial statement data, Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. requires the consolidated annual financial statement data, i.e. particularly balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cash flow statement of the last two fiscal years. If you have already submitted data to Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. in the previous years, only the annual financial statement for the past fiscal year is required.
Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. passes on this analysis, along with inter alia annual financial statement data, exclusively to its client – the Mercedes-Benz Group AG. The passed on data serves the competent departments within the Mercedes-Benz Group AG as a basis for the assessment and evaluation of the respective supplier risk. A passing on or further processing of the data to persons outside the Mercedes-Benz Group AG or persons who are not bound by law to a professional obligation to maintain confidentiality (e.g. lawyers, accountants) does not take place.
Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. stores the data exclusively in a separate, protected database. As a service provider of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. naturally complies with the data protection regulations of Mercedes-Benz Group AG and all relevant laws and regulations. Verband der Vereine Creditreform e. V. is contractually bound to keep your annual financial statement data confidential.
